B- and T-lymphocyte attenuator (BTLA)
Product details
Product overview
B- and T-lymphocyte attenuator (BTLA), also known as CD272, is a transmembrane glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 35kD and a member of the CD28 family of T cell costimulatory molecules. BTLA contains an extracellular domain of 127aa, a transmembrane domain of 21aa, and a cytoplasmic domain of 111aa. Unlike other CD28 family members, the Ig domain in the extracellular region of BTLA is type I rather than type V, and it does not form homodimers. Furthermore, BTLA interacts with the TNF superfamily member HVEM, but not with the B7 family ligands. The interaction between BTLA and HVEM transmits inhibitory signals to downregulate the immune response of lymphocytes.
The BTLA-his and BTLA-Fc expressed in mammalian cells by our company have high purity and good activity.
