Human Epididymis Protein 4 Antibody（HE4 Ab）

Epididymis protein 4 (HE4) is a tumor cell surface antigen in female ovarian cancer. Although cancer antigen 125 (CA125) is widely used in clinical diagnosis of ovarian cancer detection, studies have shown that HE4 is more advantageous than CA125 in the early diagnosis of ovarian cancer, especially for patients with benign ovarian cancer. HE4 is currently the most important factor in ovarian cancer. Tumor marker with the highest diagnostic sensitivity.

HE4 is found in human epididymal epithelium and is the product of alternative splicing of the WFDC2 gene. It has a highly conserved WAP domain and is a core region of 4 disulfide bonds composed of 8 cysteines.
