Fructosyl Amino Acid Oxidase(FAOD)
Product details
Product overview
Fructosyl amino acid oxidase (FAOD, EC1.5.3.X) belongs to the class of oxidoreductases, which use fructose amino acid as a substrate for specifically catalyzed the oxidative decomposition of fructose amino acids, to produce hydrogen peroxide, glucose, aldehydes, ketones and the corresponding amino acids. FAOD also belongs to D-amino acid oxidase family which uses FAD as a coenzyme. FAD binding domain consists of 4 α-helices and 2 β-folding, and its catalytic activity has substrate specificity.
Biochemical studies: FAOD is used widely as the core catalysis enzyme of the blood glucose biochemical class test kit. FAOD could produce H2O2 by the specifically oxidized glycated amino acid ,then generating a signal which coupled with the corresponding color.
The FAOD provided by our company is recombinant protein. It is of high purity and good activity and. It is an important raw material for research and production of the biochemical blood sugar diagnostic reagents.
