Human PD-L1 (programmeddeath-1 ligand,B7-H1,CD274)

PD-L1 (programmed death-1 ligand), also known as B7-H1, or CD274, is a member of the B7 family of immune regulatory molecules and is a transmembrane glycoprotein with a molecular weight of approximately 65kD. Mature human PD-L1 consists of a 220-amino-acid extracellular region (including 2 immunoglobulin-like regions), a 21-amino-acid transmembrane region, and a 31-amino-acid cytoplasmic region. The interaction between PD-1 and PD-L1 inhibits the proliferation of T cells and simultaneously inhibits their production of IL-2, INF-γ and IL-10. Recent studies have shown that the use of Anti-PD-L1 mAb in vivo can modulate autoimmune diseases. Blocking the interaction between PD-1 and PD-L1 may provide a feasible strategy for future therapeutic modulation of antiviral immunity, antitumor responses, and autoimmune diseases.
