Cluster of Differentiation 28(CD28)
Product details
Product overview
T cell surface molecule CD28 (Cluster of Differentiation 28) is a costimulatory signal molecule expressed by T cells. This costimulatory signal is necessary for T cell activation. As a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of adhesion molecules, the ligands of CD28 are B7-1 (CD80) and B7-2 (CD86). The highly conserved MYPPPY motif in the V-like region of the CD28 molecule binds to the B7 molecule. parts.
CD28 can exert a co-stimulatory effect when combined with its natural ligand B7. It acts as a second signal to activate T cells, promotes T cell proliferation and secretes a variety of cytokines, and induces T and B cell adhesion to prevent the formation of clonal unresponsiveness.
