Product overview

The ID.4 Crozz Prime is the highest configuration of the current ID4 series. It adopts the configuration of front and rear dual motors and four-wheel drive. The maximum power is 230kW, the maximum torque is 460N m, and the acceleration time of 0-50km/h only takes 2.6 seconds. This is not just an urban off-road electric car, but a high-performance electric car. For those car owners who are looking for speed, this is undoubtedly a good choice.

The ID.4 CROZZ four-wheel drive version adopts a highly integrated three-electric system, relying on the front and rear dual-motor drive mode, the front 80kW AC asynchronous motor, and the rear 150kW permanent magnet synchronous motor. The total system power is 230kW, and the total torque reaches 460N·m. The ternary lithium battery pack is laid flat on the chassis under the crew compartment and does not take up any passenger space. And the energy of the battery reaches 84.8kWh. It has a NEDC cruising range of 513km.

In our stereotype, the power burst of an electric vehicle is usually relatively direct, so it is easy to cause uncomfortable dizziness to the occupants of the car if the stroke of the switch is not well controlled. As an old-fashioned powerhouse in the joint venture car company, FAW Volkswagen is relatively old-fashioned in the adjustment of the ID.4 CROZZ's switches and power output. You can describe the dynamic response of the initial pedal pedal as linear and unobtrusive. In the vernacular, it is really no different from the 2.0T Tayron.

We have actually measured the ID.4 CROZZ of the long-life PRO two-wheel drive version, and it took 8.34s to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h. Today's ID.4 CROZZ high-performance PRIME four-wheel drive model has the blessing of the front AC asynchronous motor on the original basis, and the officially announced acceleration time of 0-100km/h can reach 6s. To start off, we switched the drive mode to Sport and turned off driver assists like ESP. With one foot of the floor, the power is very direct, without the vibration and delay of the gasoline car's transmission system, and the start is the release of the full 460N m torque. The front of the car rises slightly, and the 50:50 front and rear weight ratio is also quite ideal. The body stance is very elegant throughout the acceleration sprint. Driving in dynamic mode doesn't frighten you either.

In the braking test project, what everyone is most concerned about is whether the combination of the front ventilated disc and the rear drum brake will produce thermal decay. Previously, Autohome had intensively tested the braking performance of the ID.4 CROZZ in a short period of time, and the data was very close, with almost no thermal decay. The braking distance at 100km/h-0 is 37.72 meters. As for why the rear wheels are equipped with drum brakes, Volkswagen also has its own considerations. First of all, the main drive motor of the ID.4 CROZZ is located in the rear wheel, so the additional braking force provided by the energy recovery is also in the rear wheel. We can think of the

braking force of the rear wheel as drum braking + energy recovery. The cruising range can be increased by 10~15km for every 1N m reduction in the drag torque at the rear wheel end. The WLTP test results show that the drag torque of EPB-Si is less than 0.5N m under each working condition. The energy consumption problem of drag torque is probably the important reason why FAW-Volkswagen ID.4 CROZZ chooses drum brakes .

The ID.4 CROZZ, which was born on the MEB platform, adopts a suspension combination of front MacPherson and rear multi-link. The tuning of the sporty chassis is carried out by the German team. The high-performance front and rear dual motors with the ability to break 100 in 6s, coupled with the clamping of the intelligent electronic four-wheel drive system and the DCC intelligent dynamic control system, make the chassis suspension of the whole vehicle achieve a perfect balance between comfort and movement. Since the battery pack is laid flat on the chassis, plus a 50:50 front and rear counterweight. Therefore, when the ID.4 CROZZ is around the pile, the center of gravity shift is very small, coupled with the excellent lateral support ability of the suspension, so that the whole body posture is very calm.
